Worship is at the heart of the Holy Spirit faith community.  Parish life is also involved in many programs of education, evangelism, outreach and fellowship. 



  • Acolytes:  Assist the priest with services. 
  • Chalice Bearers: Licensed to assist the priest.
  • Lay Readers:  Read from the scriptures during the services. 
  • Ushers:  Welcome everyone to our worship services and help our services run smoothly. 
  • Altar Guild:  Insuring the altar is set up properly, including flowers when appropriate, putting things away after the service and cleaning items used in the services. 
  • Music Ministry:  Choir plays and sings at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday and other concerts and music programs as requested. 
  • Parish Response Team:  Serves our members with respect to emergencies, bringing communion to the home-bound, transportation needs for medicine and doctors and just keeping in contact with the rest of us. 
  • Prayer Chain:  Talk to Father Ray about adding someone in need to the prayer chain.
  • Faith Community Nursing / Parish Nurse: Ning Bonoan is our Parish Nurse and coordinates with the BayCare program of Faith Community Nursing.



  •  Bible Study:  For adults, at 4:30 p.m. prior to the Healing Service at 6:00 p.m. Fr. Joe leads us through some exciting lessons the Bible has to teach.   
  • Children's Sunday School:  Held during the 10 a.m. service.
  • Newcomers and Confirmation classes as needed.
  • Special educational offerings



Go out into the world in Peace and spread the Word, while being good stewards of our resources.

  Asian American Ministries: An integral part of the Episcopal Church's work of  evangelism: Ethnic Congregational Development; Fr. Ray is our liaison. 



 Church & Community Outreach:  Holy Spirit Church has joined other churches in Safety Harbor to set up a multi-denominational response to family needs by supporting the Family Center on Martin Luther King Dr, in Safety Harbor.  We provide food collections and financial support as we are able.   

 Social Justice:  We are allied with the National Farm Worker Ministry for justice for our poorest workers, the men, women and children who labor in the fields for our food. Diocesan Convention of 2006 passed a resolution endorsing the Alliance for Fair Food. 

F.A.S.T. Faith and Action for Strength Together:  Coalition of Christian churches, Synagogues, and Mosques in Pinellas County for social justice.

We also support the Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking (FCAHT) which promotes advocacy, education, awareness, services and assistance. 

HEP ( Homeless Empowerment Program)
